“Imagine that pilgrims from all over the world –people of every language, nation and ethnic group– are gathered in one place, and something unexpected happens.  They hear the awesome works of God in their own languages. And over three thousand people, of many different backgrounds, became believers in Jesus on that first Pentecost (Acts 2:1-21) .  Isn’t that amazing? It could happen here. It can happen now. The world is at our doorstep.

Imagine. And pray that the Holy Spirit would ignite fire, fill with compassion, and grant wisdom to officers, soldiers and other leaders engaged in multicultural ministries, that we may see the “wondrous works of God” in our time.  Our corps.  Our communities.  In our Army!

“My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, 21that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. (John 20:21, NIV)
