Asian Ministry Consultation Convened

ASIAN MINISTRY LEADERS
Asian Ministry Leaders with Multicultural Ministries Department Staff at the Leadership Seminar, Feb. 17-19, 2015.

During the annual Leadership Seminar (Feb 17-19), an Asian Ministry Consultation was convened to discuss the best practices, challenges and solutions, leadership development needs, and opportunities for expanding Asian Ministries within the Central Territory. The Asian Ministry leaders who were present represented three ethnic groups, including Laotian, Korean, and Filipino. They were from the Metropolitan, Wisconsin-Upper Michigan, Midland, and Eastern Michigan divisions. All of those attending the seminar reviewed the data on Asian Americans from the Christianity Today issue (Oct. 2014), Asian Americans Silent No More. Participants met in small groups for discussion, and a panel of Asian Ministry leaders closed our time together by fielding questions from the group.
